The "Meeting" in Jasper celebrates 3 years of ministry in Pickens county !

Has it really been three years since we started ?  It only seems like yesterday we got a call to come to Jasper and pray for a dear lady with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  We were in revival in the Carolinas and could not come immediately and am I glad that the folks waited for us to return home.  What an opportunity we had to minister when we arrived and was greeted by 25 or 30 folks in the front yard.  Some we recognized, others I only remembered seeing when they were babies and toddlers.  We assembled in the house that night instruments in tow,  the folks had prepared a covered dish type dinner for all of us.  The young lady was too weak to join us, so we all went to the bedroom and sang 3 songs and had prayer for this dear lady.  A young man was down in the floor asking the Lord to save his soul and God showed up and the rest is history.  The prayer meeting took off with zeal as folks began to come and get saved, God was doing a revival in our midst like a runaway train.  It just kept growing and growing and folks kept getting saved and delivered. Soon we had to move outside because 70-80 folks were showing up and the house was packed.  We basically had 3 groups of people, folks under the carport in chairs, folks standing in the driveway smoking, folks sitting on tailgates and trunks of cars out by the street (don't know what they may have been doing :) We had all these folks that was construction related and they would bring their coolers from work sometimes for the meal.  (Every once in a while you might see a beer floating around, but I don't think anyone ever tried to drink one at the service :)  The great part was when we gave an altar call folks would come from all three places.  WoW we had some awesome altar services outside. We ended up 4 months later baptising 27 in Shoal Creek.  Here is the video link of that event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk5z0iyjiLY  We've seen alot of stuff happen in folks lives, some came and stayed, others left, others went to be with the Lord.  Sister Smith may have lost her battle on this side with the cancer, but her death was not in vain.  She got her ultimate healing and got to go home to Jesus.  As a result we  have a thriving church here in Jasper, Ga and its not over yet.  More good things to come !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week on Thursday we will celebrate 3 years of ministry at the Prayer Meeting and we want all of you to join us.  We got alot of work ahead of us and God is helping and doing great things.  We are constantly growing with new folks coming in weekly.  We been trying to influence, invite and encourage at least 3 people a week to come and experience what the Lord is doing.  Will you invite at least 3 this week to come with you?  We have 52 shots a year to reach the lost, hurting and lonely.  Lets make the most of it.

Thank God for all of you good folks that make the JGPM happen everyweek !

3 years of ministry that you have took ownership in

3 years of ministry that you have took responsibility for

3 years of successful ministry thanks to you, because you have stepped
up and taken pride in to believe in changing lives

Your participation in the many functions of the meeting has planting
many seeds in lives of hungry people.

We are starting to see a harvest coming forward as we grow.

We are gonna overcome the obstacles together in Jesus Christ and His Cross

There is a term used today in church circles as well as the business world that we need to be "viral" in our promotion of church.  In other words we take a negative term like "viral" and we put a new personality to the word to mean that "WORD OF MOUTH" is the best way to advance the kingdom of God.  Get folks excited about what is going on by telling new people about it.  If you are excited and telling it, the news will spread like a virus spreads except in a good way LOL !

Don't forget invite 3 people this week to the Meeting and lets see what the Lord will do in their lives and how He will bless you for your efforts !!!!!!!   Lois and I love all of you and want to see the Lord work miracles in your homes !

Remember this Thursday night the 24th we will celebrate 3 years of the Meeting in Jasper with a big meal!  We got the turkeys and hams ready to cook, if anyone wants to bring drinks, side dishes etc that didn't sign the sheet, just bring what you got if you like and come on!  We are gonna have a great time !!!!!  7:00 p.m. 424 Lower Dowda Mill Rd Jasper Ga just off Hwy 515.
