Congratulations to Tristan and Jared who got married Saturday in front of over 300+ guest and followed by one of the best receptions I've ever seen with a full fledged BBQ, photo booth, dance floor etc. Everyone pitched in and did an awesome job putting all this together ! There are plenty of pictures already on (mama Weeks) Lois Weeks FB page so check them out. We are so happy to have the Tuttle family and Weeks family together after 7 years. I know they are blessed.
Want to thank everyone of you that came for the wedding and helped us pull it off. Plus we want to thank all the folks who drove in from Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee and some that flew in from Washington. Thank you for all those hours behind the wheel, we love you ! Many of our friends from the ministry and music came out to see Jared and Tristan make history. The board from the http://www.sebabluegrass.org/ came it was exciting. We had some of the greatest photographers Jess Wall and Heather Goodbread, plus a whole bunch of others that have been posting pictures and video. You were "off the hook" ! Whitney Raines and Gracie Rowen cooked up some good looking cakes. All the setup and teardown crew really went over the top. Plus we had the best BBQ team out there anywhere our good friends Hank and Kathy Bennett cooked 150 lbs of pork all night long. Mike & Tammie Williford from the Meeting cooked some awesome chicken that really got gobbled up quick. The musicians Jeff Wright, Brad Oviatt and Josh Hollifield did an outstanding job and there was lots of folks really bragging about our guys picking. Thanks to the folks at Sunnyside Church of God for the buildings. Special thanks to our cousin Barry Forrester for offering unlimited assistance with all the techical stuff !
The Meeting
We had an awesome service Thursday night at the Meeting, all the cooks knocked it out of the park again with a bunch of dishes of great food! No wonder I can't lose weight LOL !
Josh Hollifield came and got the fires going and made it nice and warm for all of us, great job there Mr. Josh!!!!!!!!! I know a bunch of the older folks really appreciate it more than you know.
Mike Williford led us in worship as well as all of you folks that make the music a go every week. I'm excited about all the upstart musicians that are playing on the first row. James Grady has become the "farm team coach" for the Meeting. He has a bunch of the younger folks playing some music !
We did our first installment in the series "Money Talks" which is a practical look at money and its use taught in the scriptures. We are recording it so that if anyone is interested in this teaching series they can have it to listen to again and again. It is free for the asking, I want everyone since work is gonna pick up to be able to make their money they work hard for go further.
some of the notes:
Money is to be a tool, not a god to be worshiped. 1Tim6:6-10
Establish ownership God owns it all.. Psalm 50:10-12
Establish a foundation, God owns you and I. 1 Peter 2:9-10
( illustrate )
God's opportunities that come into that ownership.
Establish why we should not fear
Matthew 6:25-34
Give us our daily bread
Matthew 6:11
Our altar service was just as awesome as ever, with the Lord really working in lives. Thanks to all the ministers that come and help us pray in the altar. We couldn't do it without you.
